How to get the twitter handle you want
Evolution of the Cool Font logo
Hello! So you have a great idea and a great name, you want to start getting the word out on social media but :( that handle is already taken by someone else. What do you do? What can you do?
PocketStrafe launch and beyond
Our logo has gone through many iterations (as I suspect logos do). You know, its really hard to settle on a good logo; what is a good anyway? You kind of just see one and say, 'ya that's pretty good.'
CoolFontWin v1.0 - Getting ready for release!
We launched PocketStrafe on iPhone and Android in mid-December, and to-date we have a total of 819 installs across both platforms! The last few weeks have been exciting, exhausting, and rewarding as we try to get the word out about our VR locomotion solution, answer questions, fix bugs, and give interviews. (I even got engaged to my girlfriend of 2 years a few weeks ago!) We've fixed many small bugs and crashes since release, but I wanted to lay out our short-term road map for PocketStrafe in this blog post: what we plan to work on in the first weeks of 2017.
CoolFontWin Updated to v0.2.3
In preparation for the Official Release™ of PocketStrafe on iPhone and Android, CoolFontWin has received a major update. In fact, I consider this to be the first public version of CFW, and have designated it 1.0!
Coming Soon: VR-Friendly UI
The latest version of CoolFontWin has a few small changes, but I hope they will be welcome ones. The largest change is that the context menu will now open with a larger font if SteamVR or Oculus Home are running.
PocketStrafe updated to v0.3
The next version of CoolFontWin will have a more VR-friendly user interface.
CoolFontWin v0.2: Use Two Devices for Two Legs
We just updated PocketStrafe to version 0.3. This is an exciting update because we added a new major function to PocketStrafe: the ability to use 2 iPhones at once, one in each pocket!
PocketStrafe Beta Update - v0.2
Today we updated CoolFontWin to version 0.2. The update contains a few things we've been working hard on for the past few weeks. For one, we now have support for using 2 iPhones at once. This means that you can put a phone in your other pocket and track both legs! This greatly improves the tracking accuracy, and therefore the overall experience of using PocketStrafe.
We just pushed an update to PocketStrafe: v0.2! The update has some minor improvements. We also discovered a bug that we are now actively working on. By the way, one of our users had success using PocketStrafe in the game Obduction! We think it looks awesome, but we don't have an Oculus Rift to try it out. Give it a shot!
